She graduated from Spaulding High School in 1943 and went to work as a secretary for the UVM Extension Service of Washington County. She grew up on the Paquet farm and attended primary school in a one-room schoolhouse nearby. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother (Memere), great-grandmother, and friend, she captured the hearts of everyone she knew throughout her life’s journey.Lorraine was born on Apin Barre, Vermont to Alphonse Paquet and Emeda Savoie Paquet.
